Brief info

Julian Caddy has been involved in Fringe festivals for more than 20 years, whether as an actor, director, programmer or producer. He co-founded Sweet Venues at Edinburgh Fringe in 2003 and was co-artistic director until 2010, over which time he programmed or produced more than 700 shows to audiences of over 250,000. Since 2011 he has been Managing Director of Brighton Fringe, England’s largest arts festival, and has overseen growth in audiences of over 150% and a 45% increase in registrations with 570,000 attendees at 1008 events in 2018. He has also served on the Awards jury of the National Arts Festival of South Africa and Amsterdam Fringe for five years and is currently Chair of the World Fringe Alliance.
